Two book scholarships, each for $500 will be awarded.  Funds permitting, the recipients may re-apply each undergraduate year of matriculation at a historically black college or university.

2.  All applicants must be enrolled in the 12th grade and must have completed or expect to complete all requirements for graduation in May of the year of application.

3.  Applicants must submit an application form and all information specified in the application form.

    

4.  Applicants must be eligible to attend the college or university of choice.  The selected institution must be accredited.

5.  Applications, with all required attachments, must be received via email at tpbusseyfoundation@gmail.com  no later than midnight June 15th.  Late applications will not be considered.

6.  Scholarship recipients will be selected by The Thaddius Prez Bussey Foundation, Inc. Scholarship Committee.  

7.  Scholarship recipients will be notified via email of their selection.

8. Checks for the amount awarded will be presented, upon verification of the student’s acceptance to the institution, and made payable in the name of the recipient to the bookstore of the selected institution.  If the student does not enroll or fails to attend the institution, the funds will not be awarded.

9.  The decision of the Selection Committee shall be final with respect to all matters involving the award of scholarships by the Fund.
